| -"And Kieran bails again on the very last night", overall the Schnitzel Review was awesome, we've done a lot of travelling, we've eaten a lot of schnitzels both good and bad, but it has always been a joyous occaision, we'll see you all again in the coming curry review!
-"Just like for every mother in the wild, her offspring has to be released out of the nest eventually”, again the Coopers Ale House reign supreme, over 10 choices of sauce and flavours and size and value topping the charts, there is no other substitute. Overall, we've come a long way, the schnitzel review has been the biggest and longest running event I have ever participated in and organised, with Scott and I each spending over $1000 on these deep fried delights, lot's of enjoyable moments and even trophies were awarded on our 50th anniversary, it will be something for all to remember for a long time (hopefully your waistlines weren't busted too much!), thanks to all who participated especially those quite dedicated to the cause (Nathan) and see you at the curry review soon! |

| 2 | The Coopers Ale House (07-Jul) | 4.925 (4.7,5.0,5.0,5.0) | 4.825 (4.6,4.7,5.0,5.0) | 4.875 | |
| -"What else can I say?", tender and thick, yet still filled the plate, creamy diane gravy is the best so far had, just orgasmic!
-"I have take my comment back about the Earl", is a part of the Earl of Aberdeen Hotel, perhaps related to the Leicester? but gosh the size, flavour, thickness all topped my taste buds, and we specifically asked for no salad and didn't eat lunch today, lucky we didn't! |
|||||
| 3 | The Earl of Leicester (05-May) | 4.375 (4.0,4.0,5.0,4.5) | 4.8 (4.7,4.5,5.0,5.0) | 4.5875 | |
| -"It's hanging off my plate!", herb crumbing, best place yet although the salad bar was the worst so far.
-"Best Parmi ever", 30cm x 20cm x 2cm with flavour and tenderness, definitely making up for the bread discovery.
| 4 | Mawson Lakes Hotel (23-Jun) | 4.0 (4.0,3.5,3.5,5.0) | 4.65 (4.4,4.2,5.0,5.0) | 4.325 | |
| -"Always good value when you can't even finish it", crumbing style like Barnacle Bill's and a bit dry where there was no gravy, but play Keno while you eat!
-"This is bigger than the Earl of Leicester!", two large schnitzels joined (picture above is after I seperated them), flavoursome juicy meat and great topping flavour, schnitzel itself as good as the Earl!.
| 5 | Big Day Out 2007 predrinks and meal at Brad's (02-Feb)(Special) | 4.625 (5.0,4.0,4.5,5.0) | 3.975 (3.5,3.9,4.0,4.5) | 4.3 | |
| -"The schnitzel was very orgasmic", every mouthful was tender and so ahhhh (homer mouth watering sound), it looked sexy with my beautiful salad on the side. Go my salad! Toppings were very Italian tho Chow, sauce goes on the Schnitzel not on top of the cheese!
-"The best schnitzel I have ever made, also whilst half drunk!", the Italiano twist included shaved hot salami, garlic tomato sauce, slices of swiss cheese and extra herbs and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, thanks to Lisa who helped out but it still took a fair while to serve up, fresh flavours due to fresh ingredients and grocery costs were minimal, cheers to Lisa for reviewing!
| 6 | Prince Albert Hotel (12-May) (With thanks to Brad) | 4.125 (4.0,4.5,4.0,4.0) | 4.425 (4.2,4.5,4.5,4.5) | 4.275 | |
| -"So much pepper!", cough cough cough, good value though.
-"Great value", $15 for a good feed and a Kirin Japanese beer, very enjoyable.
| 7 | The Havelock Hotel (01-Sept) | 4.15 (3.8,4.2,4.6,4.0) | 4.425 (4.2,4.0,4.5,4.4) | 4.2125 | |
| -"It was like the size of a cow", definitely a good meal, flavour was good and chips were well fried, salad was fresh and had good dressing.
-"As Kieren said, this is more food than an Ethiopian would see in a year!", the biggest beef schnitzel I have ever had, and the special Schnizza topping was a great choice, massive size, no point in giving out salad and chips, great flavours even for a beef schnitzel.
| 8 | The Arab Steed Hotel (27-Oct) | 4.175 (3.8,3.8,4.3,4.8) | 4.225 (4.1,3.9,4.7,4.2) | 4.2 | |
| -"Oh my god it's Kieren!", tender and satisfyfing, crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside, sauce was thick, creamy and flavoursome.
-"I don't see how this place has anything to do with Arabs and/or their steeds", with prawns, asparagus and creamy white cheese sauce in between, this is definitely the nicest non-parmigiana schnitzel I have ever had, great size and flavours all round and for a reasonable price.
| 9 | The Mile End Hotel (24-Nov) | 4.05 (3.5,4.1,4.2,4.4) | 4.3 (4.0,4.2,4.5,4.5) | 4.175 | |
| -"Pizziola topping was quite original", service from the waitress was very good but other workers made it average, I'd like to return and feast upon this again!.
-"It's like a pizza but with a meat base!", the best beef schnitzel I have ever had, topping was excellent and meat wasn't too bad quality, basic beef costs you only $8.90 and service from the waitress was above the mark.
| 10 | Union Hotel (16-Feb) | 4.1 (3.4,4.1,4.4,4.5) | 4.0 (2.5,4.2,4.7,4.6) | 4.05 | |
| -"Although there were a lot of people at the bar they were keeping the kitchen running well", value was actually very good, salad and prep was fresh, meat was thick, for the amount of customers service was great.
-"One of the best tasting beef schnitzels for under $14", good effort with the salad but service marked down for taking a wrong order for beef instead of chicken parmigiana (although in the end was still excellent), bonus for not charging more for parmigiana topping, top beers on tap for a reasonable price, overall a great eating experience.
| 11 | Colonist Hotel (02-Jun) | 4.25 (4.0,4.0,4.0,5.0) | 3.75 (3.5,4.2,3.5,3.8) | 4.0 | |
| -"Almost as big as the Earl", excellent value meal and good presentation.
-"Just another regular", was expecting to also get a mega sized schnitzel but it was only for beef, otherwise not bad value and presentation.
| 12 | The Tap Inn (16-Mar) | 3.625 (3.0,4.0,4.0,3.5) | 4.2 (3.8,4.2,4.6,4.2) | 3.9125 | |
| -"First schnitzel that I couldn't finish... brigitta went home with three schnitzels wrapped in toilet paper", fitting evening for my 23rd birthday (thanks chow! the megaphone hat rocks) biggest selection of tap beer I've ever seen... hence the name Tap Inn?.
-"Bonus quality points for the tasty garlic bread instead of a regular roll!”, Nathan was very drunk when he reviewed the schnitzel, excellent size which I couldn't finish, very tasty and tangy tomato sauce used, chicken was juicy and not solid, salad had great tasting dressing, you would pay more elsewhere for this quality meal.
| 13 | Highway Inn (11-May) | 4.125 (4.5,4.5,4.0,3.5) | 3.675 (4.2,3.4,3.2,3.9) | 3.9 | |
| -"I could keep a fish in this wine glass!", excellent schnitzel with near-perfect cheese and crumbing, only disappointing factor was the less-than-average serve size and lack of flavoursome breast meat, the atmosphere of the newly renovated Highway Inn "bistro" was fresh and modern, a worthy competitor in this review.
-"I must have got a different chef cooking my parmigiana than Nathan did”, the meal wasn't that great although value was pretty good considering the actual room we ate in was very classy and plenty of waiters around the place, cheese and ham weren't that great and overpowered the meal, chicken meat did not taste like much, the salad dressing probably was the strongest tasting thing on my plate, overall nothing special, I think Nathan was wooed by the glamour of the place.
| 14 | Spargos (09-Jun) | 3.875 (4.0,4.0,4.0,3.5) | 3.875 (4.0,4.2,4.0,3.3) | 3.875 | |
| -"I'll pay for your meal, cos it's your birthday!", very expensive for a schnitzel meal but good quality.
-"Good people, good food, good times", quick service for most of us, but quite expensive and Gus' table was very wobbly.
| 15 | Crafers Inn (11-Aug) | 3.775 (4.0,3.6,4.2,3.3) | 3.8 (3.9,3.8,4.1,3.4) | 3.7875 | |
| -"I had to stalk in the dark in my car to find a park", good change from regular beef schnitzel, although I don't know whether the bacon was worth the extra money.
-"The bacon makes this country style?", good size and good flavours of the napoli sauce and cheese, bacon added some extra smokiness which was enjoyable, seperate salad bowl also included fetta.
| 16 | Sapore Ristorante (21-Jul) | 3.7 (4.0,3.8,4.0,3.0) | 3.825 (3.8,3.9,4.6,3.0) | 3.7625 | |
| -"Cheese and gravy?", pleasant atmosphere, meal could have had garnishing and salad, but cheese and gravy actually works well.
-"Great italian restaurant", not a big meal but excellent quality, unique presentation with the best napoli sauce reviewed so far served on top of the cheese, expensive but was to be expected from a fancy place.
| 17 | The Blackwood RSL (25-Aug) | 4.075 (5.0,3.8,3.5,4.0) | 3.425 (4.0,3.5,3.1,3.1) | 3.75 | |
| -"I think it's the rosemary that makes this mexican", if you can't work out what button on the cash register, try the one that says "schnitzel", and if it wasn't for Mens Health MagazineI probably would have had the chicken parmi.
-"Brad was smitten by the new waiter, hence his high scores", service was above the average experience but otherwise the meal was average taste, size and price, it did come with one bonus piece of mushroom in the salad though.
| 18 | Caffe Primo Unley (27-Apr) | 3.575 (3.4,3.7,3.2,4.0) | 3.9 (3.6,4.0,4.1,3.9) | 3.7375 | |
| -"Always a good night when somesone does cream and maple syrup shots", place was very busy so service was good for the amount of people, pretty fishy taste, I think they should have used different fryers, pizza dipped in mushroom gravy tasted pretty good!
-"The most interesting Schnitzel I've had to date, highly recommended!”, if you look on the menu it's $1.90 extra for ravioli so I thought I would try and get it with my schnitzel (Scott got the regular schnitzel to show what it normally looks like), turned out to be a great combination and a very hearty meal, taste was OK but everything deep fried had a hint of fish, otherwise good value with free dessert pancakes!
| 19 | Skycity Casino Adelaide (05-Sept) | 3.8 (4.2,2.5,3.5,5.0) | 3.425 (4.3,2.2,3.1,5.0) | 3.725 | |
| -"It seemed like it was meant to be so much more", a little dry, needed more gravy, but apart from that quite satisfying, definitely unbeatable value especially for getting two pints and a tshirt, great!.
-"Happy 21st, Schnitzel Review!", was looking forwards to this night for a few days due to the picture on the flyer, but was disappointed when I actually got it due to the smaller than expected size (everyone except Lisa and Kieren's mate didn't finish), regular quality and no salad, but for $11.90 for two beers and a tshirt you can't go wrong!
| 20 | Cremorne Hotel (15-Dec) | 3.75 (4.0,3.5,4.5,3.0) | 3.525 (3.6,3.1,3.6,3.8) | 3.6375 | |
| -"Wow, the only place I've seen with coke and pepsi go glass bottles!", the night started slow but fast service, and a large serving helped, overall a good night with few Parmiterians.
-"Interesting looking bread rolls here", salsa tomato sauce was very tasty but meat was very processed, chips were good and salad was fresh, fairly decent size but the plate was too small for the amount of food, in general slightly better than normal.
| 21 | The Wellington Pub Tailem Bend (Nathan Review)(05-Jan) | 3.625 (2.0,3.5,4.0,5.0) | - | 3.625 | |
| -They hadnt cleaned out the deep fryer for a while, chips tasted a bit like fish. Crap salad bar, they kept running out of bread and roast potatoes. Overall a promising result though, small changes could make this a very awesome schnitzel!.
| |||||
| 22 | Marion Hotel (15-Apr) | 3.625 (4.0,3.5,3.5,3.5) | 3.5 (4.0,3.5,3.0,3.5) | 3.5625 | |
| -"What the hell?! This is mushroom sauce, not Diane!".
-"I thought parmi was supposed to have ham?", good free salad bar.
| 23 | Belair Country Club (50th Special) (20-Apr) | 3.4 (4.0,3.4,3.3,2.9) | 3.4 (4.2,3.5,3.9,3.4) | 3.575 | |
| -"And the award for not rocking up goes to Kieren, who isn't here!", nice atmosphere, but the woman across from us was really annoying with her laughing, very odd location, happy 50th birthday schnitzel review!
-"The big schnitzel night of all schnitzel nights, complete with trophy awards!”, great service in specially cooking schnitzels for us when they weren't available on the menu, nice and thick meat with good sauce and thin fries but a bit pricey, overall a good night with people participating in dressing up, happy 50th schnitzel review!
| 24 | (Special) Akuna Club - Civic, Canberra, ACT (08-Sept) | 3.55 (3.5,3.0,3.0,4.7) | - | 3.55 | |
| -"Not stellar, that's for sure", Sauce and extras were on the mark, but the schnitzel itself flailed. Maybe ask for a better plate?.
| |||||
| 25 | St Francis Winery Hotel (03-Nov) | 3.55 (3.0,3.8,3.9,3.5) | 3.525 (2.9,3.7,4.0,3.5) | 3.5375 | |
| -"No beef as an option, and where's my bread roll?!", where's Kieren this week?, chunky and tender, thick and juicy.
-"Nice conversion of a wine cellar into a restaurant", good atmosphere, parmigiana had good fresh sauce, smoked ham, and chips were excellent, good quality meal and just above averge in general.
| 26 | Edinburgh Hotel Mitcham (06-Oct) | 3.45 (3.2,4.0,3.6,3.0) | 3.6 (3.3,4.1,4.1,2.9) | 3.525 | |
| -"Kieren, where the f... is that stooge?!", filled the plate up nicely, sauce was OK, a little bit expensive.
-"Another week of better than average schnitzels, we're on a roll!", good thickness meat and tender and juicy, sauce was OK but the cheese was exceptional, little bit expensive though.
| 27 | The Duke of York Hotel (19-Jan) | 3.425 (3.0,3.0,3.5,4.2) | 3.6 (3.2,3.0,3.9,4.3) | 3.5125 | |
| -"Could have brought out the wedges earlier", pleasant night, good environment, they need proper seating and they need that stupid ticket gambling machine to work (they owe me 40 cents!), but the tables are good for sliding glasses on!
-"It's very dark in here", nice place to eat, probably better value on their $7 dollar schnitzel night but otherwise $13 was nothing to complain about, tables were fun to slide things across!.
| 28 | Holdfast Hotel (30-Jun) | 3.35 (3.0,3.8,3.8,2.8) | 3.6 (3.1,4.2,3.6,3.5) | 3.475 | |
| -"Is this it??", err like $13 for this size?, poor value.
-"Very nicely toasted cheese", great presentation and tomato sauce contained freshly crushed tomatoes, but chicken and crumbing had no taste.
| 29 | Belair Hotel (19-May) | 3.575 (3.3,3.9,3.9,3.2) | 3.25 (3.4,3.5,3.1,3.0) | 3.4125 | |
| -"That's as thick as a steak", even so, just your regular experience.
-"Whoah, it has ham!", first place to have ham so ups the quality rating, otherwise very bland.
| 30 | Duck Inn (14-Jul) | 3.25 (3.0,3.0,3.0,4.0) | 3.525 (3.2,3.4,4.1,3.4) | 3.3875 | |
| -"Average, very average", disappointed with the lack of garnishing, and there was free space on the plate for more chips, head chef probably did something to my meal.
-"Nicely heated dining room", breast meat quality was pretty good and good idea to seperate salad, but was quite expensive and not a lot of chips.
| 31 | Warradale Hotel (21-Apr) | 3.5 (4.0,3.3,3.2,3.5) | 3.25 (3.5,3.0,3.5,3.0) | 3.375 | |
| -"At least I got the right sauce this time", salad bar free again.
-"Just another standard parmi", enough said.
| 32 | Mamma Carmela's Glenelg (08-Dec) | 3.175 (3.0,4.0,3.5,2.2) | 3.55 (3.3,3.9,4.2,2.8) | 3.3625 | |
| -"The weird stuff did not taste good", meat had a grey bit which was bitter, sauce was really good, weird with the cheese underneath the sauce, could have done with more meat and chips but I did like the salad.
-"Slight italian twist", nice length of chicken with very tasty tomato and cheese topping, salad was in a nice stack too, nice atmosphere but a tad pricey.
| 33 | NY Bar & Grill (23-Feb) | 3.175 (2.9,3.4,3.8,2.6) | 3.525 (3.7,3.6,4.0,2.8) | 3.35 | |
| -"This sauce sauce has got apricot, says Nathan", good night out, would return there if another group event, bit pricey for what you get, defn needs more chips, salad couldv had more colour.
-"Great tasting schnitzel, but what happened to the chips?", got about 12 chip on my plate and although the schnitzel tasted great with the capsicum and pepperoni the meal size was small, otherwise not bad overall.
| 34 | Bridgewater Hotel(Special)(02-Mar) | 3.0 (4.0,2.0,3.5,2.5) | 3.5 (4.0,2.5,4.5,3.0) | 3.25 | |
| -"There’s a chicken breast under there somewhere, however I’m not familiar with this naturally grown variant".
-"Its like three different meals in one!”.
| 35 | Maid of Auckland (04-May) | 3.25 (4.0,3.5,3.0,2.5) | 3.075 (3.8,3.4,2.7,2.4) | 3.1625 | |
| -"Contrary to chows view, it was definitely pan fried", the crumbing was a bit dry , chicken looked a bit processed but was still tender and moist, sadly, although the cheese looked nice it wasnt intended for melting and was not so tasty.
-"This is the first time I've had a chicken hawaiian schnitzel”, good to see ham was included on both the parmi and hawaiian, chicken quality looked very processed but was interesting to find pan fried meat instead of deep fried, chicken itself was OK but the cheese on top was a bit too mature, otherwise it's just your average pub meal.
| 36 | Moon Under Water (04-Aug) | 3.0 (3.5,3.0,3.5,2.0) | 3.3 (3.4,3.2,3.7,2.9) | 3.15 | |
| -"Would you like a jug with that?", unpredictable and random sized schnitzels, a bit dry, and Jade had a much larger schnitzel, drinks were better value than the meal.
-"Doesn't matter what you eat, you will still get drunk", good flavours all round and chicken was pretty juicy but not a good sized meal, otherwise $15 jugs of Red Bull and Vodka you can't go wrong.
| 37 | Caffe Buongiorno Mitcham (29-Sept) | 3.125 (3.0,4.0,3.0,2.5) | 3.15 (2.9,3.9,3.6,2.2) | 3.1375 | |
| -"The bolognese sauce was weird", mmm the Yiros Pizza, just like eating a yiros on a pizza, otherwise the schnitzel was pretty much average.
-"Not as good as the Rundle St. one", I would have thought the chain of restaurants would serve the same size meals but I was wrong, best presentation I've seen for a long time and we're back to the above-average quality meals now, ham gives bonus point but a little bit expensive.
| 38 | Flagstaff Hotel (16-Jun) | 3.15 (3.5,2.0,3.8,3.3) | 3.075 (3.5,2.0,3.3,3.5) | 3.1125 | |
| -"Free Soup!", with excellent salad bar and self serve crusty bread, but no chips served.
-"The biggest and best salad bar yet", with 5 different potato dishes the salad bar was more the highlight than the plainly presented schnitzel.
| 39 | The Governor Hindmarsh (13-Oct) | 3.025 (2.0,3.8,2.5,3.8) | 3.175 (3.1,2.7,4.1,2.8) | 3.1 | |
| -"Hey, are these magic mushrooms? Cos I didn't order them but they somehow appeared", wasn't impressed with the wrong sauce given, overall just an average meal.
-"I initially thought there were leeches on my meal", as the meal approached it looked like caviar on top, but it turned out to be some kind of herbal sauce like pesto, great quality chicken and bocconcini cheese, and although it didn't look nice and was expensive, it had good taste.
| 40 | Tonsley Hotel (28-Jul) | 3.0 (3.0,3.5,2.5,3.0) | 2.925 (2.9,3.8,2.3,2.7) | 2.9625 | |
| -"Mmm, average schnitzel", a little bit dry, average atmosphere pub, probably wouldn't make the suggestion to come again.
-"Looks can be deceiving", quite a popular place even with a mosh pit for the oldies, good presentation but was the chicken was very bland and had weak tomato and cheese topping.
| 41 | The Marion Sports and Community Club (17-Aug) | 3.35 (3.5,2.7,3.0,4.2) | 2.525 (3.0,2.2,3.1,1.8) | 2.9375 | |
| -(Josh's Review)"How do those vegetables make that coloured water?", vegetables in the sketchy salad bar had black coloured water, free soup and pretty cheap but I'd rather pay for quality.
-"You call that a special deal?", tables were not set with cutlery, not even a basic salad served, was just a regular parmi but I paid basically $5 extra for topping.
| 42 | The Esplanade Hotel (17-Nov) | 3.425 (4.0,3.2,3.5,3.0) | 2.425 (3.5,2.7,1.8,1.7) | 2.925 | |
| -"Kieren never shows", good cheese and veg in the salad bar, slightly overpriced but meal was OK.
-"I would rather have purchased jugs of Redbull and Vodka instead", schnitzel was about 50mm thick including crumbing with little flavour, cheese and ham were OK but not great, salad bar had awesome cheesy vegetable bake, but overall a light meal leaving you with a light wallet.
| 43 | 7 Stars Hotel (23-Mar) | 3.275 (3.6,2.5,3.3,3.7) | 2.525 (4.0,2.2,1.7,1.8) | 2.625 | |
| -"Strange paintings on the walls!", looking at it makes you confused, beef was definitely better compared with the chicken both size and flavour wise, nice atmosphere but not rating the food.
-"Excellent table service but let down by poor quality”, sauce was too sour from the tomato, cheese was stiff and chicken had no flavour, regular presentation but looked greasy, a pint of pale for only $3.70 was probably the highlight of the meal, perhaps the beef was the better option.
| 44 | The Skinny Dog Hotel Melbourne (29-Dec) | 2.725 (3.0,3.0,2.5,2.4) | 2.525 (2.8,3.0,2.2,2.1) | 2.625 | |
| -"I wouldn't eat here again, next time I'll go the lamb shanks", was more quantity over quality, but had good atmosphere and the place was nice.
-"The size of it looked promising for Melbourne's chance to enter the leaderboard", place was a nice upclass pub, with new tv's and trendy seating, too bad the schnitzels were soggy and meat was bland and price was high for a pub meal, but the size and thickness was pretty good.
| 45 | The Crown Inn (10-Nov) | 2.625 (3.0,2.5,2.5,2.5) | 2.6 (2.8,2.9,2.6,2.1) | 2.6125 | |
| -"What a shit salad bar!", there was no actual salad in the salad bar, good size schnitzel but sauce flavour was too overpowering.
-"Definitely the worst salad bar ever, minus marks!", the salad bar comprised of about 5 items all of which were either white, brown or light brown, actual meal was OK but blotchy cheese, also many people felt sick later on, overall below average.
| 46 | Schutzenfest 2007 (12-Jan) | 2.875 (3.0,3.5,3.0,2.0) | 2.325 (2.8,2.7,2.2,1.6) | 2.6 | |
| -""It was alright", I don't really know any short sentences, we do what we wish you do, no, no, quit it, the meal was pleasant.
-"Sam, that was the worst Schnitzel review ever, it doesnt even make sense!", the Schnitzel Burger was the closest thing to a regular Schnitzel meal so we gave it a go, just like a normal burger but with a schnitzel piece inside, tasted ok but price was at a premium, otherwise the night was just a big Schutzenfest drinking party.
| 47 | Glenelg Jetty Hotel (01-Dec) | 2.65 (2.3,2.5,2.7,3.1) | 2.45 (2.4,2.6,2.1,2.7) | 2.55 | |
| -"Very Average", cheese was really greasy, meat was a little thin and crumbing soggy, salad bar was one of the worst.
-"Agreement with Scott, very average", the whole meal was just as you would expect a $10 meal would be, except that it costs $16 instead, and you get a crappy salad bar with no actual salad in it.
| 48 | The Woodcroft Tavern (20-Oct) | 2.8 (2.2,3.0,3.0,3.0) | 1.775 (2.4,1.5,1.4,1.8) | 2.2875 | |
| -"Kieren, who's this Kieren fellow who we used to know", service could definitely be improved, waited forever and got mine last but the salad bar kept us tied over for a while, better than the chicken.
-"Pretty dodgy, describes the meal and the local area", first time for a while we have had a salad bar but wasn't great, the sprig of green on my plate was when Nathan threw garnish from his meal, everything was cold when arrived, otherwise cheese very blotchy and low taste overall.

| -"I felt like I was in an old folks home and the food just made it worse", it may as well be blended, in fact possibly would have been better if it was, the cheese was plain and tacky like Kraft singles and I only got 11 chips, the salad bar was less than desirable.
-"The first place to have a pork parmigiana, and I got sucked in”, very small serving size, very few chips, salad bar was served in metal mixing bowls and inside looked like it came out of Heinz tins, $16 poorly spent.

| -"At least it was as good as expected", I'm sure it'd be great for kids, it was edible but not much more and like tommo said, if you put a lighter to it it'd probably catch fire.
-"An important lesson to be learned here, bowling alley food sucks ass", the best thing to eat were the bowls of salad and the chips were good too, as you can see by the cheese slices the quality is down the drain, not bad value considering for an extra $6 on top of bowling you got a meal and a slushie, but what good is a schnitzel if you can only taste the deep fryer?

| -"The only difference between the mushroom and plain gravy is the plain has the mushrooms picked out", crumbs were too hard, meat too chewy, serving too small, but awesome beer glasses.
-"A bit of a let down really", maybe I don't know how the Europeans make their schnitzels, but I'm pretty sure the serving size tonight would be small according to any country, just your regular experience but with a lot of waiting around, but nice live music.

| -"So much, for so little", waited so long, I could have got better value at Maccas, had taste but lacked salad and hardly any chips, I'm never coming back again.
-"So continues the hunt for a good German served schnitzel", service was appauling due to waiting around for an hour for all meals to arrive, expensive and small sized with no side salad, I haven't had a good chicken parmigiana in over a month now.

| -"I said no gravy", bugger all meat, tasted like fried breadcrumbs, probably the only schnitzel you will find for that price at 5 in the morning though.
-"The number one DnB artist wouldn't rate this very well either", how long does it take for 3 cooks to make 3 schnitzels?!!, schnitzel was extremely oily, chips were very pale, gravy was really salty, but for $7-something at 5am it is still good value.

| -"Back to the salad bar for me!", we did win Keno, but the following list sums it up: BiLo style schnitzel, Lumpy Gravy, Over priced, Rubber meat, Coating fell apart, Oily taste. -"Worst Parmi ever", almost opposite value to the Earl, Scott's meal looked straight from the local meat dept, and further: Instead of butterfly cut, it was cut in 2 halves and joined in the center with the cheese (1st picture), Due to above, cheese leaked to the center and underneath meat and chips (2nd picture), Rubbery meat, but not too bad, Low grade cheese melted resulting in lumped spots, Again cannot believe Scott got served a supermarket budget piece of beef. | |||||

| -"Wow, this schnitzel tastes surprisingly like butter chicken!", very disappointing with no schnitzels, on the other hand the curry was quite pleasant, excellent sauce with mild-high hotness and the chicken melted in your mouth, also disappointing that they have beers from around the world but no Toohey's Extra Dry, good views but only reccomended for special occaisions.
-"I think my schnitzel came from another intergalactic dimension”, very disappointed that their great tasting veal schnitzels were removed without updating their menu for our knowledge especially when their establishment is very high class, it's something I would have expected to happen instantly, otherwise my pork thing was very nice (I can't remember what it was called and it's not important anyway), good tomato based sauce with tasty pork meat and stuffing on the inside, top views over the city and silver service waiters who put napkins on your lap, lesson learned - don't come here for schnitzels!
