It's been a long journey, spanning over two years and travelling many miles around the state, but we've finally reached our 30th Curry Review Milestone! As
suggested by Brad, I found out this restaurant did an all-you-can-eat banquet, covering unlimited entrees, naan and main dishes! How fitting for a special 30th Curry Review!
Hopefully unlimited doesn't mean poor quality, but tonight was more about the people who have followed me along this arduous and spicy journey! Thanks to everyone!
Our final score: 6.8/10

Lamb Korma
Ah, 30 curries later ... so as part of the banquet, we got to choose 3 entree dishes and 4 main dishes to be unlimited throughout the night. This sounds like a pretty good deal if you're a big eater, but
a major problem for the people who wanted individual dishes - the staff tried to convince you to change to the banquet. This was a small problem
unfortunately compared to how slow the food service was. Sure, the place was almost full but to have to wait an hour for entree's then another half hour for mains is getting a bit poor, definitely
not putting us in a good mood! The lamb korma was honestly nothing to salivate about. The taste was like a general spicy cream without any defining points of cashew or heat which is a must.
The meat was tender enough, but unfortunately very stringy for some reason, similar in texture to old defrosted meat. For $33 I guess it's not too bad value in terms of quantity, but I would rather go elsewhere and pay for
individual meals that leave me wanting more. Overall a bit of a disappointment, and I apologise to all the people who attended ... the next one will be much better, I promise!

[Service] 4.2 -One of the slowest meals, saved by their friendly smile and mannerism.
[Quality] 6.8/10 -As Burge said, it's like out of a jar. Ok, but needs identifiable flavours.
[Atmosphere] 7.0/10 -I don't think it's Christmas anymore, otherwise neat and tidy.
[Value] 6.9/10 -There's only so much you curry you can eat, especially if it's not that great.
Final Score: 6.225/10

Butter Chicken
This was a good evening. I got to wear pretty clothes, I got to look at other people in pretty clothes, and I got a trophy!
Chow tried to explain to me how a small transparent basketballer represents eating a lot of chillis... but sadly he lost me :(
But how many dinners do you get a trophy at?! Beyond all the night's ceremony, the food was also quite adequate. I can say without overstatement
that this was the best butter chicken I've had all tour: sweet, tender and properly orange butter chicken. And it was unlimited! I did not actually
bother to eat much from the other mains; it was worth getting the banquet just to have a neverending supply of this dish and naan.

|
|
|
[Service] 5.5/10 -Friendly but very slow.
[Quality] 8.5/10 -The naan was average, the butter chicken awesome.
[Atmosphere] 8.0/10 -Welcoming and decorative.
[Value] 7.5/10 -Bottomless banquet is certainly great value if you're a big eater!
Final Score: 7.375/10
