Well, it's another month that we missed our curry fix, but seeing as it was my birthday today, I thought I might revive the crowd and inject some tandoor into the stomachs of my fellow well wishers, thanks everyone! I had totally forgot that I was here last year for a meal, and service was appauling, I had to wait 2 hours for my main which came last out of everyone... but that was in the past, this is now. Hopefully things have improved! Let's see...

Yeah, I know... what's going on, I'm having a boring butter chicken. Well, sore throats don't go well with hot food, so I had to dial it down a bit. I have to say, I haven't had a butter chicken for a while, so I was looking forwards to it. It looked very orange, which I hope was from some kind of spices, but otherwise it was a decent serving size. From my last bad experience here, I made sure to warn the place that I invited 34 people, and we were picky about food and service, and they did deliver on both fronts, with quick service all round. Meat wasn't the greatest but the sauce was very nice, spicy and creamy. Potato and paneer naan was good too... but the best thing was actually their service! One of the waiters joined in with singing happy birthday to me. I think that's the best service I've experienced. Awesome.

Service: 9.8/10 -Served all quick smart, plus I got a birthday song, that'll do it for me.
Quality: 7.8/10 -Meat quality let down the dish, otherwise not bad.
Atmosphere: 9.3/10 -Very nice and new inside, upclass almost.
Value: 8.9/10 -Not the cheapest, but very much worth it, Entertainment Card can be used too.

This was not our first excursion to Beyond India, but due to ‘technical difficulties’ during the initial excursion, this would be the first official review of said establishment. Having the menu available for viewing online in a pretty and easy-to-use website is a handy feature a lot of restraints seem to lack, but even so, I was forced to make my decision on the fly because there was simply too many meals to choose from (although it was somewhat restrictive in a certain sense – only 3 beef dishes!). Without going into too much detail, the service was very good, there was one misunderstanding but serving 34 impatient youngens this is to be expected.
The meal was very tasty, and served with suprising speed and efficiency, the beef was good (except for one chewy piece!), and the sauce was excellent. The accompanying rice and naan worked very well with the main meal and were proportioned rather accurately. The Chai Tea was a nice option for those not indulging in the goodness of liquor, and when I asked for a Mango Lassi to be served ASAP in preparation for my 6 chilli roulette shot, it was in front of me within a minute! The chilli though was rather disappointing.

Service: 8.0/10 -Cheery, fast, efficient and amusing, they seemed to really be enjoying themselves.
Quality: 7.0/10 -Good meat quality, really nice sauce. Probably a point deducted for one bad bit of meat which put me off a bit.
Atmosphere: 6.0/10 -A little posh (in a westernized way), which seemed to take precedence over any real cultural atmosphere.
Value: 7.0/10 -Filling serves, prices were good for the apparent ‘classiness’ of the place.

Claire had to eat a six lot of chili, but wimped out and only had half of that. I'll count it still. Highest record of chili hits ever!
